May I use any major credit card?

Yes, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and JCB are excepted at our store and in our online store. U.S. and international debit and credit cards are accepted. 

Where does Present ship, what shipping methods are used, do you offer local delivery, and how long does a gift take to arrive?

Shipping from Present's Online Store: Have your gift shipped via USPS Priority Mail anywhere within the contiguous United States for $9.95 (wrapped in a box that fits in a flat rate box), or Local Hand Delivery almost anywhere within 10 miles of Present for $9.95 (presented in a beautiful gift box or basket). 

Most in stock items are shipped from Present within 2 business days. Once shipped, USPS Priority Mail Delivery delivery can take 1 to 5 business days in the United States, depending on the destination. If you need something to be shipped more quickly, please call 650-949-4438. We recommend calling because we don't check email as often as phone calls during store hours. Local Hand Delivery takes place the next business day, or later (per request). 

Shipping from Present's Store in Person: Any item at Present can be delivered locally for a $9.95 courier fee. Place your order in person at Present or by phone (call 650-949-4438). Mention that you would like your gift to be shipped via USPS or hand delivered, and we will take care of the rest. Find what zip codes our courier delivers to, when orders need to be placed for same day deliver, and more information about Present's Local Delivery Service here. Select items from Present can be shipped via USPS for $9.95 or more depending on the size.

Corporate Gifts: Present can help design unique corporate gifts for your vendors, customers, partners and employees, and have them delivered for you. Give us an idea of what you are looking for, who the gifts are for,  if you would like for them to be branded with your company colors, etc. We can prepare some example gift collections for you. How do I specify a different Shipping Address than Billing Address on the checkout page of Present's online store?

First complete the Billing Address section. Then you will be given the opportunity to choose between shipping to the same address as the billing address or entering a different different address. Important: There is a check mark next to "Shipping Address same as Billing" which you may uncheck if you would like to specify a different Shipping address.

How do I return an item?

If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase from Present, we will be happy to exchange your gift within 7 business days. To return an item, please contact Present via email for instructions: contact@presentlosaltos.com

Do you ever substitute items in a gift from your online store?

Because of the perishable and seasonal nature of some of our products, we reserve the right to make substitutions as necessary to ensure timely delivery of your gifts. Rest assured, on the rare occasions we do make substitutions, they will be thoughtfully chosen, and will be of equal or greater value than the original items. 

Changes: Descriptive or typographical errors are subject to correction. We reserve the right to change items, prices or policies at any time and without notice.

I have allergies to certain ingredients (gluten, peanuts, etc.) that may be found in your products. Where can I obtain ingredient information for your items?

Present offers select products that are labeled as gluten free, vegan, dairy free, etc. Please ask for recommendations for specific allergies. To the best of our knowledge, our labels list all ingredients. For those with peanut allergies, all products may contain trace amounts of nuts or allergens not listed in the ingredients. Also, since gluten and other allergens are found in wheat and some other grain products, we encourage you to read ingredient information carefully and determine if the product is appropriate for you. If you cannot locate an ingredient label on the product you received, contact us with the product name and we will gladly research the information for you. Many gift options in our online store allow you to specify gluten free. In that case some product substitutions may occur.

Do you include packing slips?

Because many of our shipments are gifts sent directly to the recipient, we do not include packing slips with our shipments. This policy is meant to ensure that every gift received from Present is beautifully packaged without any detracting elements. However, if for any reason you require this paperwork, please call Present and we can email or mail you a copy. The emailed Order Confirmation you receive after placing an order is your receipt. If you would like a note included, please write your note (25 words or less) in your order notes.

Why do you charge sales tax?

We are obligated by law to collect sales tax for orders sent to California.  

Do you ship internationally?

Currently Present's online store only ships to destinations within the contiguous United States. We may ship to more locations at a later date. Please email Present with any questions: contact@presentlosaltos.com

How will my package arrive?

Your package will arrive via USPS (United States Postal Service) Priority Mail or via Deliv courier service depending on what you specify while you order. Every gift is carefully and beautifully gift wrapped. No packing slip or receipt will be enclosed in our packages (your emailed Order Confirmation is your receipt).

How can I review or make changes to my web order?

After your order is placed online, you will receive an Order Confirmation via email. This will include an Order Number, product name, total cost and billing and shipping information. This is confirmation that your order has been placed successfully and is also your receipt. If you would like to make any changes to your order, please contact Present at 650-949-4438 (during store hours) or contact@presentlosaltos.com and we will do our best to assist you.

May I place a corporate or business to business gift order?

Present offers well designed, fun corporate gift collections for your vendors, customers, partners, employees and more. Many of the options are locally made.

At Present's Los Altos Store: Present can help design unique corporate gift collections have them beautifully wrapped and delivered for you. First, give us an idea of what you are looking for, who is destined to receive the gifts, if you would like for them to be branded with your company colors, if you would like for the gifts to be wrapped in a box that fits in a USPS Priority Mail flat rate box or presented as a beautiful gift basket for hand delivery, etc. Then set an appointment to see specially prepared example gift collections for you to choose from. From our online store: Select one of these options at checkout:

  1. Order one or more gift collections, then pick up your order at our Los Altos location to deliver to clients or business partners yourself.
  2. Order one gift collection at a time and have it delivered via courier the same day (if ordered and confirmed before noon) or any day you like in the future.
  3. Order one gift at a time online, and specify in the order notes when you would like each to ship.
