How much does a gift cost?

Currently Present California gifts are available unwrapped, wrapped in Gift Boxes (shipping, local delivery or pickup), or in gift bags (local delivery or pickup). Gift Baskets in cellophane are not available at this time.

Online Orders:
Wrapped and Unwrapped Gift Collections range from $49- $149. Individual Items are also available with or without add-on gift bags or gift boxes. You can order 2 boxes to be stacked, wrapped, and shipped or delivered together for a tiered presentation.
Custom Orders: Shop Custom Gift Collections or boxed gifts online for the fastest results. Or contact Present for a proposal and a quote. We’re happy to help!

How long does it take to make a gift?
In order of speed (timing may vary if busy):

Once you approve of the gift (with your corporate colors and any add-ons we've agreed upon), you can easily re-order it as a corporate gift, and the custom fee will be waived. Prefer phone/email? Shipping methods, cost, and how long does it take to arrive?

• Gift Boxes: Nationwide USPS Priority shipping for online orders is FREE for a limited time with Coupon Code: FREESHIP (usually $15 for Medium and $20 for Large). Most gift boxes are shipped from Present in Santa Cruz within 1-2 business days (see Present's hours). Once shipped, USPS Priority Mail delivery can take 1-3 days locally or 2-5 days elsewhere in the US. No international shipping. Gift box dimensions are about 11 x 11 x 6 inches. Prefer a larger gift? Order 2 boxes to be stacked, wrapped, and shipped together for a beautiful presentation. Ship Custom Gift Boxes and other boxed gifts online. Ordering Individual Items rather than Gift Collections? Shipping (free for a limited time with coupon code: FREESHIP) but usyally $15-$20 per box that may multiply if additional boxes are required to fit the number of items you select. If you wonder if the individual item(s) you select will fit in a large 11x11x5 box, consider a Gift Collection that includes the item(s) if available; select pickup or delivery instead of shipping (with or without gift bags or gift boxes); or order a Custom Gift and we will select items such as these that fit in a large shipping box that your recipient will enjoy.

May I place a corporate or business-to-business gift order?
Present offers well-designed, fun, eco-friendly, socially responsible corporate gift collections for your vendors, customers, partners, employees, and others. Many options are made locally. Present can help design unique corporate gift collections, wrap them beautifully, and ship or deliver them locally for you.

Custom Gift Forms, for gift boxes help you order easily with optional photo approval. The form asks what the recipient(s) might like, if you would like the gift(s) to be wrapped with your company colors (if your colors are in stock), and if you'd like a photo for your approval.

For Customized Gifts, use the Custom Gift Box order form in Present’s Online Store. These options appear after you fill in the shipping address at checkout:

  1. USPS Priority Shipping: FREE for a limited time with coupon code: FREESHIP (usually $15-$20)

  2. Local Delivery FREE for a limited time with coupon code: FREEDELIV (usually $20) to select SF Bay Area zip codes on select dates.

  3. Pick-up in Santa Cruz is available by appointment only at the UPS store at 849 Almar Ave in Santa Cruz. Use this code as check out: FREESHIP Contact Present to arrange a pick up time.

Do you ever substitute items in a gift from your online store?

Present may make substitutions due to the perishable and seasonal nature of some of our products, and to ensure timely delivery of your gifts. On the rare occasions we make substitutions, we will thoughtfully choose items of equal or greater value than the original items. 

Customers may request substitutions (gluten-free, etc.) while ordering, and we will do our best to accommodate requests if possible.

Changes: Descriptive or typographical errors are subject to correction. We reserve the right to change items, prices, or policies at any time and without notice.

How can I review or make changes to my online order?
After placing your order, you’ll receive an Order Confirmation email receipt with an Order Number, product name, total cost, billing, and shipping information. If you order USPS shipping, you’ll receive an email with a tracking number from USPS.com and/or from PresentCalifornia.com when it ships. If you’d like to change your order, contact Present (store hours). We’ll do our best to assist you.

How will my gift be wrapped? Packing slips or price tags? Do you wrap gifts from other stores?
Gifts purchased from Present's online store can be carefully and beautifully gift-wrapped (eco-friendly wrap available) if you choose that option.

Festive, seasonal, and tranquil options are available. Because many gifts are sent directly to the recipient, no packing slips or price tags are enclosed. If you require this paperwork, please call Present, and we can email or mail you a copy. The Order Confirmation email sent after placing an order online is your receipt.

While Present generally does not wrap gifts purchased from other stores, you may add one item purchased from another store to a gift box for free (see minimum purchases above). For example, you may arrange to send company branded mugs to Present to be included in a gift box for a $5 placement fee.

I have food sensitivities or allergies to certain ingredients. Where can I obtain ingredient info?
Present offers select products labeled as gluten-free, vegan, dairy-free, etc. Ask for recommendations regarding specific allergies. If ordering online, mention the allergy in your order notes during checkout. To the best of our knowledge, the labels list all ingredients. For those with peanut allergies, products may contain trace amounts of nuts or allergens not listed in the ingredients. We encourage the gift purchaser and recipient to read the ingredient information carefully and determine if the product is appropriate for you. If you can’t find an ingredient label on the product you received, contact us with the product name, and we will research the information for you. Ask us if you have a request for lower sugar items or other food restrictions, and we will be happy to discuss options.

Do you take pre-orders?
For multiple gifts (e.g., corporate gifts), we may need to schedule a production day for your gifts, so pre-ordering your multiple gift orders is best.

For individual gifts, there may be some pre-order options available in the online store. We may limit the number of pre-orders during the holidays because of limited storage space. We recommend sending the gift right away if that is an option. Holiday gifts are lovely to receive any time during the season. Thank you for understanding.

May I use any major credit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay?
Yes, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, JCB, Apple Pay, and Google Pay are accepted. U.S. and international debit and credit cards are accepted.

Why do you charge sales tax?
We are required to collect sales tax for online orders sent to California.

How do I exchange or return an item?
Temporarily we cannot honor our exchange/return policy: If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase from Present, we will be happy to exchange your gift within seven business days. To return an item, please contact Present for instructions: contact@presentcalifornia.com

Drawing for Gift Basket Giveaways
Gift collections, often valued at over $100, were offered several times a year at the retail location and we will likely begin doing drawings for our online store customers.
